Amy Hancock​

Amy Hancock’s lifelong passion for healthcare began in her late teens while working as a nurse’s aide. Her interest in nursing found her graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse from College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California.

Hancock returned to her home state of Pennsylvania and spent the better part of the next 20 years working as an LPN in a variety of settings including nursing homes, family practice, and internal medicine.

Her desire to further her career by becoming a physician assistant led Hancock back to school. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in physician assistant studies at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

In 2002, Hancock took a physician assistant position in pain management and soon recognized she had a knack for the specialty. She says her longevity in the field echoes her appreciation for pain management and her desire to help others.

Hancock is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

When not working, Hancock enjoys visiting the beach, reading, hiking, and traveling. Spending time with her family, however, remains at the top of her list.
