Zane Osborne, MD
Born in Connecticut, Dr. Osborne spent his formative childhood years in South Carolina. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from the University of Virginia and later earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. Although he began his career as a marketing analyst and project manager in the computer industry, Dr. Osborne realized his dream of becoming a physician by graduating cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Osborne’s medical experience has included working as medical director and principal investigator for clinical trials and nearly two decades as an emergency department attending physician. Additionally, he served as assistant clinical professor of emergency medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
Presently he divides his time between working as an emergency department attending physician at Hampton Regional Medical Center and at United Physician Group Pain Management of Piedmont. Dr. Osborne says he enjoys experiencing the contrasts between the fast-paced world of emergency medicine and the individualized challenges of pain management.
“People who choose to come to a pain management center come because they want help,” he explains. “And when you find something that works, it’s extremely rewarding.”
In his spare time, Dr. Osborne enjoys spending time with his family, working on cars, and playing video games
