Kelvin Burton, MD

Dr. Kelvin Burton grew up in the Atlanta area and graduated Cum Laude from Morehouse College. While at Morehouse, Dr. Burton was a recipient of the Problem Solver Award and Calculus Award.
He received the Phillip Hubbard Human Rights Award at the University of Iowa School of Medicine and went on to his residency at Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
A veteran, Dr. Burton was Lieutenant Commander Navy in Desert Storm, ICU Director at Naval Hospital in Beaufort, South Carolina.
His previous roles include Quality Assurance Director at Tanner Medical Center, Chief of Staff and ER Director at Tanner Medical Center, and Medical Director at West Georgia Counseling Medical Center.
He now practices primary care and pain management at our Douglasville location. His drive is to help people of all ages through difficult times. There’s nothing more fulfilling to him than seeing people get well.
He is professionally affiliated with the American Academy of Family Practice, American Medical Association, and is a Certified Pain Education.
Outside of the office, you can find Dr. Burton singing, watching movies, playing football and basketball, or spending time with family.
