Jammie Emerson, NP
Jammie Emerson received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Purdue University and received her Nurse Practitioner license in 2016. She is currently in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program for family practice at Purdue University and is expecting to graduate in January 2021.
After her high school graduation, Jammie worked as an emergency room technician. With this strong exposure to the medical field, she realized her passion for patient care. In March of 2003, Jammie started working as a registered nurse in a level II emergency/trauma center and remained in that position for the next 14 years.
Jammie specializes in family practice and sub-specializes in pain management. Because of her experiences, Jammie brings a unique approach to pain management by her ability to connect with patients and to relate to them which is an essential skill in building and managing healthy provider/patient relationships. Jammie joined United Physician Group Pain Management in September 2019, and is based in the Myrtle Beach office.
Jammie currently volunteers for Habitat for Humanity of Horry County, Project Hope, and Help 4 Kids. In her free time, Jammie enjoys traveling with her three children and engaging in their numerous organized sports. She describes herself as a “sports mom.”
