Erlande Richard-Azinord, D.N.P.

Fluent in French and Creole, Erlande Richard-Azinord, D.N.P. was born and raised in Haiti and later moved to New York.
She received her associate degree in nursing from Rockland Community College. She got her master’s degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University, her post-master’s degree in family nurse practitioner from South University, and her doctorate in nursing practice from Grand Canyon University. Her residency took place at SunSouth Medical in Morrow, Georgia.
“I knew at a very early age, that I would be working in the medical field when I grew up,” Richard-Azinord, D.N.P. said. “Nurturing people, helping others to feel better, especially when they are not feeling well, have always been my passion. I grew up with a vivid desire to care and comfort others whenever they are sick.”
Before joining United Physician Group, Richard-Azinord, D.N.P. previously worked as an administrative house supervisor, nursing leader, preceptor, and care transition coordinator.
She is professionally affiliated with the American Associations of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Case Management Society of America (CMSA).
“I am grateful for the opportunity to make a real difference in patients’ day-to-day lives,” Richard-Azinord, D.N.P. said. “Throughout my years of practice, I have acquired a greater understanding of how a simple act of compassion strengthened by knowledge, delivered in a genuine approach can help a patient a great deal.”
Outside of the practice, you can find Richard-Azinord, D.N.P. traveling, decorating and renovating her home, and organizing church functions. She is a certified Faith Community Nurse and Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach.
She and her husband have been married for 21 years. They have three children together.
